Silchar, April 13: An all-party meeting held today in Aizawl paved the way for the Mizoram government's decision to declare the Hmar People's Convention (Democrats) an "unlawful organisation" following the killing of three Mizoram police officers in an ambush by HPC (D) rebels on March 28.

The meeting, presided over by home minister R. Lalzirliana, vociferously condemned the attack by the HPC (D) Zosangbera faction on a convoy comprising three Congress legislators near Zokhawthlang village in north Mizoram that led to the loss of the lives of three policemen.
