Guwahati, April 12: Aircel will play East West Chemicals and Food Corporation of India clash with Promila Engineering in the semi-finals of the 1st Futuristic Corporate T20 Cricket Tournament, organised by Futuristic Advertising and Management, at Barsapara stadium here tomorrow.
Aircel crushed Gauhati Tea Auction Centre by eight wickets in the last league match at the same stadium today.
GTCA elected to bat first and were restricted to 89 for eight, chasing which, Aircel reached 90 for two in 14 overs.
Trishul Mazumdar (21) was the only notable scorer for GTAC while Manish Das and Abhinash Konwar of Aircel took two wickets each conceding 16 runs each.
For Aircel, Gautam Saikia remained unbeaten on 46 while Pankaj Sharma (23) was another notable scorer for the side.
Vijay Dubey of GTAC picked up a wicket for 22 runs.
Children’s chess
The PC Borooah Chess Academy here will organise the 25th PC Borooah Children’s Chess at Shilpgram auditorium here from May 11 to 13.
Training: Akshayam, a chess promotion organisation, is organising a special coaching camp at its Chess Learning Centre in Aarohon, Wireless here from April 13 to 17. The camp will be held from 10am to 2pm and 4pm to 8pm every day.
