After spending 22 years as a professional in the field of clinical nutrition and dietetics, Doel Roy has come up with her passion project Zing Fit, a wellness centre. Spread across 550sqft, the modest and cosy fitness clinic is decorated with planters, candles and in soothing hues that look inviting. “While doing up this place, I had in mind that I did not want the client to feel that they are entering a clinic for some treatment. I wanted the boutique vibe,” explained Doel.

Born out of a drawing room discussion, Zing Fit is all about a holistic approach to weight loss and inch loss through painless, non-surgical procedures. “Back in those days, after studying clinical nutrition and dietetics and belonging to a family of doctors, our only aim was to join a hospital as a nutritionist. After spending 22 years in this profession, I started travelling all over India and then my focus shifted to wellness and the idea of coming up with our own brand came to me along with my sister. This is a journey of 22 years. My daughter designed the logo for me that my marketing team approved. That is how Zing Fit was born and my journey started afresh in the only field that I know best,” said Doel.

The wellness centre that provides weight loss and body shaping through inch loss services has a holistic wellness approach to the procedures by combining counselling, meditation, machine and therapies. “This is our USP, where we take wellness to a different sphere. Our tagline is ‘Living Well with Doel’. I have mixed wellness with aromatherapy, physiotherapy and lifestyle modification also. Living well is our focus. Only a slim figure or losing weight is not our purpose. I also instruct my clients certain meditation or respite which they can do,” said Doel.

The procedures are performed with special NSLS (non-surgical liposuction) machines. Clients first have to go through a counselling session, after which the treatment procedure is recommended to them as per their requirement. “My idea behind Zing Fit was to help people lose weight through a scientific process and lifestyle modification. We counsel the client thoroughly for imbibing in them the motivation to lose weight. We take their diet and fitness quotient into account as being medically fit is important. So many clients suffer from obesity-related health problems and osteoarthritis. If a client comes to us with depression, we first suggest a detox therapy. In case of lack of motivation, we suggest aromatherapy. Based on their body composition analysis report, we suggest different weight loss and inch loss treatments that are Indian Medical Association approved, like lipobyte, liposuction, bustline treatment, sagging, uplift, cavitational lipolysis, microbiol lifting to reduce face fat and so on. It is important to tone up also, not just lose weight,” signed off Doel.
