St James’ School hosted its annual Diwali Night on October 20 for the first time in two years after the pandemic. The event has been organised by the Interact Club of the school to raise funds for the underprivileged children of the evening school under the aegis of St James’ School

The power-packed event began by welcoming actress and chief guest Mumtaz Sorcar. “It is an honour to come here and be a part of this fun-filled and noble event. I wish the students all the best. Please continue your good work,” she said
The welcome performance saw students dancing to some peppy Bollywood numbers
Mumtaz Sorcar and others lit the lamp and kicked off the fun-filled evening
Illusionists Satabdo Sengupta and Sam Majumdar enthralled the audience with their mind games and tricks. Mumtaz Sorcar also joined Satabdo Sengupta in his performance
The audience grooved to some Bollywood numbers played by the school band
The school campus was lit up brightly

The funds raised will be used for the development of the underprivileged students of the evening school
