Ranchi, Sept. 18: The two pilots, who had trained under the state?s scheme for tribals, have failed to clear their first interview after obtaining their commercial flying licenses. Chetan Gupta, managing director of Garg Aviation Centre, where they were trained, said Khudiram Singh Sardar and Mohan Mardi had failed to clear the Air India oral test.
But Deccan Airways has shown interest in the two, he added. Claiming the tribal boys will get suitable jobs within four to six months, captain Garg said Deccan Airways has shown interest in them, but the airline has asked for a Rs 10-lakh bank guarantee and a surety bond.
