
Ranchi, Aug. 31: In a high-level reshuffle of IAS and IPS officers today, the state got a new chief electoral officer in L. Khiangte while incumbent P.K. Jajoria has been moved to State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) as director.
Among the other key changes, Arwa Rajkamal has been named the new Deoghar DC. Following the August 10 stampede in the temple town that left 10 pilgrims dead, the state had immediately suspended then DC Amit Kumar and then SP P. Murugan. As a stopgap arrangement, senior IAS Rahul Kumar Purwar had been made the DC.
Rajkamal, a young IAS officer of the 2008 batch, had been serving as joint secretary in the state health, medical education and family welfare department.
In another significant move, Pradeep Kumar will be the new controller of examinations of Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) while also holding additional charge of Jharkhand State Housing Board managing director.
Incumbent housing board managing director Dilip Kumar Jha, who hogged the limelight over a controversy involving the transfer of a plot on the name of urban development minister C.P. Singh in Harmu Housing Colony, has been transferred as joint secretary in the higher and technical education department.
Senior IAS N.K. Mishra has been transferred in capacity of commissioner of Santhal Pargana commissionary, headquartered in Dumka, and would continue to hold additional charge of Jharkhand State Finance Commission.

To better city policing in Ranchi, IPS officers of the batch of 2013 have been posted as assistant superintendents of police (ASPs) - Prashant Anand in Hatia, Anshuman Kumar in Kotwali and Harilal Chauhan in Special Task Force (Jharkhand Jaguar).
Another IPS of 2013 batch H.P. Janardanan has been posted as ASP-cum-sub-divisional police officer in Latehar, state home, prison and disaster management department notified this evening.
Ranchi Kotwali DSP Ranvir Singh and Latehar SDPO Roushan Guriya have been transferred to Special Task Force while Hatia DSP Radha Prem Kishore has been sent to Hazaribagh headquarters. Satish Chandra Jha, incumbent DSP Hazaribagh, would now be DSP at Jharkhand Armed Police's battalion No. 1.
