Dhanbad, Feb. 25: Brajesh Singh would be brought here on police remand to establish his association in two high-profile murders, superintendent of police Sheetal Oraon said.

He will be interrogated in order to find out whether he was present during the killing of Rajiv Ranjan Singh, the son of Jharia MLA Kunti Singh and late Jharia Rashtriya Janata Dal MLA Raju Yadav. The name of the notorious criminal still spells terror in the coal belt and lakhs of rupees are exhorted on his name.

According to Dhanbad police Brajesh Singh who in the late 80’s came to Dhanbad and stayed at the residence of late Jharia MLA Suryadeo Singh and also the father of late Rajiv Ranjan Singh as the henchman and sharp shooter to look after his coal transportation business later developed proximity with Bihar don and Baniapur MLA Dhoomal Singh who is also behind bars in several criminal cases.

Brajesh till late ’90s stayed at Dhanbad-Bokaro zone where he was involved in six murder cases. But Brajesh disclosed that senior Congress leader of Dhanbad Suresh Singh eliminated Rajiv in Calcutta. Brajesh Singh, recently arrested from Orissa was ferried to Mumbai on police remand to establish his links with Dawood Ibrahim.

Sources revealed that Brajesh told the Mumbai police that he had handed over Rajiv to Suresh Singh in Calcutta where the killing took place and has openly accepted that he was behind the killing of Jharia senior RJD leader Raju Yadav who was shot dead at Mughalsarai in 1989.
