Jamshedpur, Dec. 24: As New Year plans get chalked out, fine-tuned, cancelled and remade, city hotels and clubs are trying hard to woo revellers in their direction.
Hotel Wave International on NH-33 is gearing up for a grand year-end bash, from entertainment shows to buffet dinners, fire jugglers to Russian ballet performances, dance troupes and an impressive line-up of DJs. Mouth-watering Indian and Chinese food is also on the entertainment platter. “Like every year, this year too we are all geared for New Year celebrations on our hotel premises. Food and music will be a part of our celebrations. Those who come here will enjoy the night,” said director of the hotel Rinku Singh.
Hotel Citi Inn is organising a musical night with upcoming singer Neekita Nigam — better known as Sonu Nigaam’s sister — and a dance troupe Show Stoppers from Mumbai. Fire jugglers will also add zing to the night. All this, accompanied by DJ music and complimentary food, will come with a pocket pinch of Rs 2,000 for couples and Rs 1,500 for singles.
“Food includes a wide range of cuisine from Indian, Chinese and Continental. Around 1,200 people are expected to attend the bash,” said manager of Citi Inn Habibur Rehman.
On the other hand, Fortune Hotel Centre Point is keeping it sweet and simple.
A DJ troupe from Calcutta will perform at Banquet hall, while Super Rock Band will be performing at the rooftop restaurant Little Italy.
Complimentary food and drinks included, a couple will be charged Rs 1,500 for the Banquet Hall bash and Rs 2,000 for Little Italy.
Hotel Smita has also kept it warm and cosy. The hotel has organised a new garden restaurant just from December 26 to January 1 for families who want to avoid crowds. However, live soft music will keep the visitors company on December 26 and January 1.
“This is for those who want to avoid crowds and enjoy with their families, because not everybody wants to sing and dance,” said a official of Hotel Smita.
