Jamshedpur, Sept. 1: Unlike the ripples created here when she won the Miss India Universe title last year, Tanushree Dutta?s debut movie Aashiq Banaya Aapne does not seem to carry a similar effect.

The movie, which is set for an all-India release tomorrow, will be screened at the Payal and Goushala talkies here.

Authorities at the Payal talkies, who were expecting a good response from movie buffs, were in for a disappointment a day before its screening.

Barring Sunday, the telebooking figures are not all that encouraging.

?Enquiries about the movie have been trickling in for the past couple of days, but bookings are yet to pick up. There are no bookings (over the phone) for tomorrow,? the authorities said.

Vishal Sawa, the owner of Payal talkies, said he doesn?t see all that excitement about the movie.

?The response would only be known tomorrow. There?s no hype as such about this movie. A movie has to be good. It does not make any difference whether a local guy or a girl is acting in it or not. We are keeping our fingers crossed,? he added.

Authorities at the Goushala talkies said a few people had enquired about the movie.

?Those who rang us up seemed more interested in whether the movie was being screened in our cinema hall,? they informed.

According to them, the movie is soft and names of the characters are not that catchy.

?The response could have been better, had the movie possessed some established actors. But there is a little interest about this movie as a local girl is playing the lead role in it,? they added.

The storyline of Aashiq Banaya Aapne revolves around Tanushree, who isplaying a college girl. She plays the lead with Imran Hashmi of Murder fame. The movie is directed by Aditya Dutt.

Tanushree?s next release Chocolate is going to be released at the month-end.
