Stocking of consignment of books for the new session has already been launched by the over 500 booksellers across the district, while over 20 union sellers have already started some brisk business over witnessing the lull of two years.

Talking to the The Telegraph Online on Sunday, Rana Ghosh, owner of Uniform House, a renowned school uniform retailer of Dhanbad, “Our business was almost dead since the last two years due to closure of schools but with reopening of the schools we have started witnessing a lot of queries.”

“Though, the business was more or less around 50 % during 2020 as the lockdown came into force on March 22, until which sessions had started in many of schools and particularly in the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) affiliated schools but the we suffered the greatest loss during 2021 as school didn’t open in for the long period of time,” said Ghosh adding even in many of the schools the examinations are still scheduled in online mode but they are witnessing customer footfall for the other schools which have started off line classes.
