Ranchi, March 29: The solar eclipse, considered to be a harbinger of bad news and calamities, gave rise to many superstitious beliefs and views this time, too.

In Ranchi, the eclipse, said most astrologers, started at 4.57 pm and lasted till 5.48 pm. Though it was not clearly visible because of clouds, some people were seen sitting on elevated places trying to get a glimpse of the phenomenon.

Astrologers in the state capital could not arrive at a conclusion on the exact timing between which the sun disappeared, but they all agreed that the eclipse ?will bring instability to the country?.

Astrologer N.K. Bera said, as this is the second eclipse in the same month, the state is bound to witness disturbances in the coming three months.

?There was a solar eclipse on March 15. According to astrology, if there are two eclipses in a month, there is every possibility of a natural disaster, political turmoil, terrorist attack or other such events taking place,? Beral added.

He said many people, especially gynaecologists, had approached him for guidance in the wake of the eclipse.

It is believed, he added, that pregnant women should not use scissors during an eclipse. ?A lot of people are in trouble these days,? said the astrologer.

Another astrologer, Upendra Prasad ?Babu?, said people born under the sun signs of Leo, Cancer, Pisces, Aries, Scorpio and Virgo will be the worst affected by the eclipse.

?There are many MLAs in the Jharkhand Assembly who have these sun signs, and they are in deep trouble in the wake of eruption of the disqualification issue,? he pointed out.
