Ranchi, April 21: Ranchi police have stepped up the heat on realty firm Sanjeevani Buildcon Private Limited, sealing its office at GEL Church Complex and two residences of the director last night and flats owned by the managing director today.
Police also raided the residence of the CEO of Samriddhi Creative Private Limited, the second Ranchi firm besides Sanjeevani Buildcon against which over 100 people have complained of fraud, prompting chief minister Arjun Munda to recently order a special probe into the realty scam in the state capital.
The MD of Sanjeevani Buildcon, Jayant Dayal Nandi, and director Shyam Kishore Gupta, as well as Narendra Thakur, the CEO of Samriddhi Creative, are absconding. Though senior officials of Sanjeevani Buildcon have eluded police so far, four men of Samriddhi Creative, namely the MD, general manager, director and finance manager, were held on Tuesday.
Yesterday night, police sealed the office of Sanjeevani Buildcon on Main Road in the Lower Bazar station area and the Vasant Vihar and AG Colony residences of its director Gupta.
On the other hand, police today sealed two flats of Nandi on the sixth floor of Raj Apartments on Bariatu Road, besides another, Shishir Vihar, belonging to his wife Anamika, on Cheshire Home Road under Sadar station.
Arwind Kumar Sinha, who has been appointed nodal officer to monitor the cases relating to the scam, said police had seized three vehicles.
“We seized a Xylo belonging to Nandi from the basement of Raj Apartments this afternoon. A Scorpio owned by Gupta was recovered last night from Sushila Enclave in Vasant Vihar and an Indica belonging to Mohammed Shamim, project manager of the company, was seized last night from his Kanta Toli Chowk residence,” the police officer said.
OC of Bariatu police station Faguni Paswan led a raid at the residence of Narendra Thakur, the CEO of Samriddhi Creative, around 1am today.
Police, however, did not find Thakur at his Shreya Enclave residence, 1km from the Bariatu station. Sub-inspector Tulsi Prasad interrogated the CEO’s parents and told them to ask Thakur to surrender.
SSP Saket Kumar Singh said, “The raids will continue until the officials are behind bars.” He added that the police had detained a few officials of Sanjeevani Buildcon for interrogation, refusing to name them.
Meanwhile, Ajay Kumar Mishra, an employee with Abhijeet Group, today lodged an FIR against Sanjeevani Buildcon with Namkum police.
According to Mishra, company manager Suraj Kumar and Kiran Prasad, an agent, had taken Rs 2.32 lakh from him in four instalments in October-November last year, promising a 1,300sqft plot at Sarwal in Namkum.
“They said they would provide me the flat within three months, but didn’t. I rushed to the city from Kendua (Dhanbad). But the company’s officials were incognito. I was left with no other option but register an FIR against them,” Mishra told The Telegraph.
