Jamshedpur, Feb. 5: The buzz began with Bhool Bhulaiya and after Ghajini the bold bald look has become a rage.

Hairdressers in most steel city salons claim that they are getting customers who opt for the clipper cut (as Aamir Khan’s Ghajini hairstyle is known) on a regular basis .

The clipper cut is not easy to maintain. A “touch-up” has to be done every eight to 10 days (maximum) to maintain the haircut. “About 10 youths had come here for the clipper cut. We don’t copy Aamir, we do give suggestions to our customers and customise the shaved look to individual head shapes. People also come here to trim their hair often to maintain the look,” said Shweta Tandon, a beautician-cum-hairdresser at Habibs in Beldih Club.

According to the salon, mainly those in the age group of 18 to 25 ask for the haircut.

“It is the latest trend and I want to look different. Though I got the idea from Ghajini, I have innovated it in my own way without imitating the actor,” said Joydeep Dubey, an employee with the Tata Steel.

“I do visit a salon every three days, spending Rs 100, to maintain the cut. The maintenance is expensive but it’s worth the stylish look,” said Niranjan Kumar, a professional in an advertisement agency.
