The sleepy Hazaribagh town has got a posh address.

A luxurious hotel offering facilities similar to that of a five-star one was inaugurated at the upscale Marwari Mohalla in the town by former external affairs minister Yashwant Sinha on Thursday.
Named A.K. International, the six-storied hotel on NH-100 (Hazaribagh-Giridih road) has been designed by Mumbai-based architects and boasts everything — from a multi-cuisine restaurant called Relish offering Chinese, Japanese and Indian food to well-furnished rooms and suites.

Owner Abhay Singh said that out of the 41 rooms, three were suite, 14 royal president, 18 royal and six elite.

“The rooms even have digital lockers. Best cooks and employees, including manager and staffers, have been picked up from across the country,” he said, adding that the room tariff ranged anything between Rs 2,100 and Rs 6,100 per day.

The owner said that it took four years to construct the hotel over an area of 7,200 sqft at a cost of Rs 6 crore.
Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the hotel, minister Sinha said it would cater to upper class tourists who do not have to go to the state capital any more for accommodation.

“The hotel has been built keeping in mind the need of elite people. Increase in facilities in any town is an indicator of its development,” he said.
