Investigators are yet to record the statement of BJP parliamentarian Pratap Simmha, who had authorised the visitor passes for the two intruders who breached security to enter Parliament last week.
"We are planning to record Simmha's statement by Friday. We have also sought the Speaker's permission to recreate the breach in the presence of the six accused that coincided with the anniversary of the 2001 terror attack on Parliament," said a police officer.
Sources said the probe so far had revealed that the six accused who have been arrested were part of half a dozen WhatsApp groups named after revolutionary leaders Bhagat Singh and Chandrasekhar Azad.
"During the interrogation, they told us that they used to regularly discuss thoughts and ideas of the freedom fighters," another officer said.
Accused youths D. Manoranjan and Sagar Sharma had jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery and released yellow smoke from canisters. Around the same time, two others — Amol Shinde and Neelam Azad — released smoke from canisters outside the Parliament complex.
