Bhopal, Dec. 20: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal today sought to project the Aam Aadmi Party as an alternative to the ruling BJP and the Opposition Congress in Madhya Pradesh, saying the arch-rivals had a "husband-wife relationship".
Addressing a gathering of over 12,000 in Madhya Pradesh, Kejriwal said: "The Congress and the BJP are like husband-wife - they take turns to loot and don't take action against the other's corruption."
Pitching his AAP as an alternative, Kejriwal said: "There is a need for a third party, an alternative in Madhya Pradesh."
He began his speech by accusing the BJP and the Congress of being hand-in-glove. "They both loot for five years each. They don't forgive the loans of farmers or poor people, but they forgive the loans of the rich."
Referring to demonetisation, Kejriwal alleged Prime Minister Narendra Modi's intention was not to end corruption.
"How can you end corruption by banning Rs 1,000 notes and introducing Rs 2,000 notes? The demonetisation is a Rs 8-lakh-crore scam," he said.
