New Delhi: Congress veteran Gurudas Kamat, a five-time MP from Mumbai and a Nehru-Gandhi family loyalist, died in New Delhi on Wednesday after a heart attack, family sources said. He was 63.
Kamat was taken to a hospital in Chanakyapuri around 7am after he complained of breathlessness, but he died on the way.
First elected to the Lok Sabha at the age of 30, Kamat served as minister of state for home in the UPA II government.
