In 1991, journalist Danny Casolaro was found dead in a hotel bathtub, with his wrists slashed. While his death was initially reported a suicide, media uproar led by his family led to the examination of a more sinister ploy around it, stemming from a story he called The Octopus.

The trailer for American Conspiracy: The Octopus Murders perfectly sets up this conflict that rocked America in the early 1990s. The four-part Netflix docu-series will follow researcher Christian Hansen, as he attempts to untangle the questions around Casolaro’s death, and whether there was a massive political conspiracy that led to his untimely death. We'll have to wait till February 28 for all the answers.
