Shesh Theke Shuru, a film for the web portal Hoichoi, will be streaming from September 1. Starring Samadarshi Dutta, Ridhima Ghosh and Biswajit Chakraborty, the film revolves around a film student (played by Ridhima) who is researching on forgotten technicians. She meets Samadarshi’s character, whose father was a famous film editor in the 1960s and 1970s.

“His father was accused of burning a film roll in the edit table and he later committed suicide. While researching this subject the two fall in love, and what happens thereafter forms the crux of the story. It’s a different kind of romance, and there is a huge twist in the end,” says director Sayantan Ghoshal, known for his adventure films like Jawker Dhan. “All my films till now have been about thrill, adventure, suspense. Sesh Theke Shuru is a romantic film at heart. Parambrata Chattopadhyay first offered me to direct it. And what makes it even more special is that the original story was penned by him,” said Sayantan. Roadshow Films, a production company where Param is a partner, has produced the film.
