Steven Caple Jr’s Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has been enjoying a decent beginning at the Indian box office, minting Rs 7.65 crore nett in two days after it hit theatres on June 8, according to Box Office India reports.

The sci-fi adventure saga earned Rs 4.4 crore nett on June 8, the day of its release, followed by Rs 3.25 crore nett on Friday. The reports predict that the collection would cross Rs 15 crore nett over the weekend.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is expected to perform well at the worldwide box office too. American entertainment magazine Deadline says the film is looking at a collection of USD 155 million globally, out of which USD 100 million is expected to come from overseas markets.

A sequel to Michael Bay’s 2018 hit Bumblebee, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts sees the Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, forge an alliance with the Maximals led by Optimus Primal to defeat the Terrorcons as the latter try to steal the Transwarp Key. Tech expert Noah Diaz (Anthony Ramos) and a museum intern Elena Wallace (Dominique Fishback) get entangled in this inter-galactic battle after the latter accidentally discovers a part of the Transwarp Key.

Peter Cullen, John DiMaggio, David Sobolov, Ron Perlman, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh, Liza Koshy, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Pete Davidson, Colman Domingo, Cristo Fernández and Tongayi Chirisa lent their voices to the characters in Rise of the Beasts.
