Dream Institute of Technology (DIT), Thakurpukur, hosted its seventh annual cultural fest, Trance 2k15, over three days recently.

On Day 1, Arfin Rana of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa fame mesmerised the crowd, while Day 2 started with Battle of the Bands, after which the students grooved to DJ Baideyi’s music and enjoyed Royalty, the fashion show. The second day ended with a performance by the band, The Monkberries.

The final day had a series of off-stage events lined up, but it started with a beautiful dance by the students of DIT. Among the competitions, if Hungry Kya tested the participants’ appetite, Wrestlemania tested their physical strength.

erformances by Suswati Mallik and the dance troupe, A.D., kept the crowd engaged. However, it was Mir’s performance that everyone was waiting for. Mir and Bandage rocked the stage with popular numbers like Aashayein and Tum hi ho.

“Organising a fest gives the students hands-on experience on how to coordinate among themselves as well as with outsiders. It is a break from their study schedule too,” said principal Dipankar Sarkar.
