Mr & Mrs Bakshi: Anirban Bhattacharya and Ridhima Ghosh are back as Byomkesh Bakshi and Satyabati for the third season of Byomkesh on web portal Hoichoi. “Satyabati is one of my favourite characters. She is a strong-willed woman you can relate with for her intelligence. Anirban is a good friend. And it’s always great to work with friends. I love irritating him on the sets too, which really gets him mad! But on a serious note, we really help each other out and try and make our scenes work. That is most important. Our off-screen friendship has really helped our screen chemistry,” said Ridhima.  

Sex & the city: Sudeshna Roy-Abhijit Guha’s first webseries Virgin Mohito, starring June and Anindita Bose among others, drops on web portal Addatimes on April 24. “Virgin Mohito raises questions like the empowerment and  freedom of today’s women, the sexuality of women, their choices and decisions about it,” said Sudeshna.“I play a tomboy. Anytime anyone is in a problem, she is always there to help. I liked how they (the makers) thought of breaking preconceived notions the society has about women and virginity through this project,” said Anindita. June plays a mother in Virgin Mohito.

Old friends: We all remember making friends in school, right?! Debarati Gupta’s next film Onek Diner Pore focuses on four schoolfriends who get together after a gap of more than one-and-a-half decades. The film goes on to show how the friends — played by Swastika Mukherjee, Sudipta Chakraborty, Rupanjana Mitra and Palomi Ghosh — come to terms with their past and present. “It’s a very personal film,” said Debarati.
