The crown is getting closer! On Thursday, 66 shortlisted candidates from the districts walked the ramp at Princeton Club for the district zonal finale of P.C. Chandra Goldlites Diva, being held in association with t2. After western and ethnic wear rounds, 10 winners were chosen from nine districts — (l-r) Anindita Mitra of Ranaghat College, winner from Nadia; Dipika Dutta of Kalyani University, winner from Murshidabad; Tuin Chakraborty of Srimati Techno Institute, winner from Bankura; Ipshita Bhattacharjee of Jogamaya Devi College, winner from Jalpaiguri; Tanushree Sarkar of Gour Mahavidyalaya, winner from Malda; Debsmita Sarkar of Surendra Institute of Engineering & Management, winner from Darjeeling; Priyanka Das of Birpara College, winner from Alipurduar; Debasmita Nandy of Rabindra Bharati University and Madhushree Dutta of Bhawanipur Education Society College, winners from South 24-Parganas; Priyanka Mishra of Surendranath College, winner from North 24-Parganas. The judges’ panel at the Prince Anwar Shah Road club had actor Shaheb Chatterjee, model Sauraseni Maitra and P.C. Chandra Jewellers director Udipto Chandra.

  • Believe in yourself if you want to win.
  • If you are feeling tense, take a deep breath before starting your walk.
  • Always smile.

 

 

“I would like to request all parents to support their girls. All of them were equally good. It was difficult for us to choose the winners. Even after so many years, I still get the jitters before walking the ramp. So, remember to relax before you start walking,” said Sauraseni Maitra, model.
