The Pope’s Exorcist

Sony Pictures Entertainment on Wednesday late evening unveiled the official trailer of its upcoming supernatural horror film The Pope’s Exorcist. Helmed by Julius Avery, the movie stars Russell Crowe in the titular role alongside Daniel Zovatto, Alex Essoe and Franco Nero.

The two-minute-41-second long trailer shows Russell Crowe as Father Gabriele Amorth, who is the chief exorcist of Vatican city and a close aide of the Pope. He gets an extremely complicated case and performs an exorcism. However, the evil is way stronger than his expectation and wants to inhabit his body.

The Pope’s Exorcist will arrive in theatres on April 14.

Past Lives

The official trailer of upcoming American romantic drama film Past Lives has come out. Directed by debutant Celine Song, the movie stars Greta Lee, Teo Yoo and John Magaro in lead roles.

In the two-minute-24-second-long trailer, we see a love story between a young boy and a girl in South Korea. However, they grow distant as they grow up and part. The girl goes to the US and marries an American citizen. Things change when the boy and the girl meet each other again after years.

Waco: American Apocalypse

Netflix shared the official trailer of its upcoming true-crime documentary series Waco: American Apocalypse. It is directed by Night Stalker helmer Tiller Russell, who also serves as the executive producer.

The two-minute-27-second-long trailer shows glimpses of what happened in Waco, Texas, in 1993 when cult leader David Koresh took on the federal government in a bloody 51-day siege.

Waco: American Apocalypse will be streaming on Netflix from March 24.

Carmen

Sony Pictures Classic on Wednesday late evening dropped the official teaser trailer of its upcoming musical drama film Carmen. Directed by Benjamin Millepied, the film stars Melissa Barrera as Carmen, Paul Mescal as Aidan and Rossy de Palma as Masilda.

The one-minute-six-second-long teaser trailer shows Carmen fleeing from a violent Mexican drug cartel through a desert and ending up in Los Angeles. She is aided by Aidan, and the two perform several dance numbers in the video.
