1 She isn’t just any other Bolly pretty face. Before films came calling, Jacqueline studied mass communication, did a stint in an advertising agency and was also crowned Miss Sri Lanka. What makes her cooler? She wants to use her degree and “get some work experience behind a desk” someday.
2 She’s the go-to heroine when it comes to many a hit franchise — Murder (2) to Race (2) to Housefull (2 & 3). She conquered with those long legs in Murder 2, nailed the negative act in Race 2 and made goofy cute in the Housefull films.
3 Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut may be calling the shots at the box office, but Jacky, too, has her fair share of “houseful” hits — without making too much noise. If Murder 2, Race 2 and the two Housefull films have grossed Rs 420 crore (approx) in India alone, Kick — starring Salman Khan and her biggest film yet — alone earned
Rs 230 crore-plus.
4 She’s the best thing even about her flop films, like Roy and Bangistan.
5 She’s the one responsible for keeping our parties rocking in the last few years. Chittiyaan kalaiyaan is every girl’s fave “dressing-up” anthem, Jumme ki raat is a nightclub fave and Sooraj dooba hai the eternal party starter.
6 She counts Sonam Kapoor as her BFF (best friend forever, sillies!) and the two have a very Sex and the City kind of friendship going — from shopping sprees to girls’ night outs to luxury holidays. And these girls make for the coolest pictures together! “Jacqueline’s just sooooo cool. I love hanging out with her,” Sonam has been quoted as saying.

7 She has Salman Khan as mentor. Brothers to Bangistan, Race 2 to Roy, she’s signed almost all films on “sounding board” Salman’s advice.
8 She can do simple as well as sexy. For us, she hasn’t looked better than in that yellow dress and no-nonsense ponytail in Sapna jahan from Brothers.
9 Her Twitter bio — that simply reads ‘Actress’ — is no-frills. In an industry where almost everyone is pushing forward a CV, Jacky is refreshingly different.
10 She’s one ha-ha person. Laughing and joking 24x7, Jacky is a delight to work with and a fun girl to know. “She talks a lot and giggles all the time,” stylist Subarna Ray Chaudhuri, who gave JF her lookbook in Dishoom, told t2. That combination of sexy diva and goofy girl-next-door is a huge #win
11 She doesn’t play the heroine card. “I wash my dishes, rent an apartment and travel by auto,” Jacqueline had told t2 last year.
12 Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone aren’t the only Bolly A-listers set to leap into Hollywood. Jacqueline — again very quietly — has wrapped up her Holly debut: a slasher film called Definition of Fear in which she plays the central role.
13 She owns a restaurant in Colombo and is hands-on (by remote control) in its daily running, right down to deciding the menu changes. What’s cooler? It’s called Kaema Sutra!

14 Her style is effortlessly sexy — from that boho-chic combo in Chittiyaan kalaiyaan to that super-distressed denims in Dishoom. For much more on Jacky the stylista, look right.
15 She has her heart in the right place. In 2014, Jacky was named PETA’s “Woman of the Year”; this year, she’s spearheaded “Jacqueline Builds” to raise funds for the 2015 south India floods.
16 In an industry so hush-hush, Jacky hasn’t hidden her relationships — from Bahrain prince Hassan bin Rashid Al Khalifa to Housefull 2 director Sajid Khan. But did she have a special something with Salman? Shhhh!
17 She can make even a simple white T-shirt look oh-so-sexy. Watch her in Sau tarah ke from Dishoom and you will know just why. By the way, that tee belongs to John Abraham!

They told t2
18 Sajid Nadiadwala (directed Jacqueline in Kick): There is a certain freshness about Jacqueline that grips one almost instantly. She’s also a very quick and eager learner and is also interested in various aspects of filmmaking. I think she suited Shaina (her character in Kick) to the T and she was outstanding with those dance moves in Jumme ki raat (left).
19 Karan Malhotra (directed Jacqueline in Brothers): She really held her own in front of actors like Akshay Kumar and Jackie Shroff. I was very happy when Jacqueline got good reviews for Brothers because I know how hard she worked on the film. And I don’t think she’s looked better in any other film.
20 Remo D’Souza (has directed Jacqueline in the upcoming A Flying Jatt): Somebody in Bollywood who’s yet to be known as a great dancer.
21 Anamika Khanna (fashion designer): I’m watching Jacqueline. She wears a bit of my stuff but I am keen to dress her more. I find her very charming and elegant.
JACKY’S CV
Murder 2: The murder mystery had Jacqueline in the role of a model desperate for love. Jacky’s sexy moves bound in chains in Aa zara freeze the remote even today.
Housefull 2: The Sajid Khan madhouse had Jacky in a bit role, but she brought the house down as the goofy Bobby Kapoor.
Race 2: Mujhe toh teri lat lag gayi.... Jacky sizzled — and how!
Housefull 3: The part wasn’t much to talk about, but the LOL lines — Main tumhara bachcha nahin bana rahi = I’m not kidding you — were!
Kick: She had Salman and Randeep Hooda fighting over her in the film. How’s that for a kick?
Brothers: Her best acting reviews came for this film where she played mom to a six-year-old.
Dishoom: The role wasn’t much, but Jacky sure was an eyeful.
I love Jacqueline Fernandez because.... Tell t2@abp.in
