Today is Mahalaya and to ring in Puja celebrations, Jhaal Farezi is hosting a series of cultural events — ‘Thakurdaalaan by the Flyover: Festival of Fashion, Photography, Installation Art, Music & Food @ Jhaal Farezi’ between September 23 and October 3. Conceptualised by Madhu Neotia and designers Dev and Nil, participants include Narayan Sinha (installation of ‘Debi’), Kallol Datta (fashion-art installation), Lipi Biswas (ceramics and studio pottery), Swarup Dutta (photography), Paromita Banerjee (fashion-installation art), Debashri Samanta (fashion-installation art), Siddhartha Hajra (photography), Gourab Ganguli (videography), Shiladitya Bose (electronic music, Dhaak & Bass Project), Rudra Kishore Mandal (pen and ink), Ayushman Mitra (painting) and Dev R Nil (fashion-installation art). Today’s big opening at 7pm will feature music by Tajdar Junaid.
