Luxury cars are possibly best rolled out at cool parties. So Audi Kolkata held a party at The Grid for Club GT members last month to display new Design Edition versions of its A6 sedan and top-of-the-line Q7 SUV.

Club GT members not only own some of the hottest performance and supercars in the city, but a bulk of them are Audi owners as well. “Club GT members are big influencers who are promoting the supercar and luxury car culture in the city,” said Audi Kolkata director Gaurav Bajaj, who along with wife Srishti played the perfect hosts. The Design Editions are limited to 150 cars.

“We make sure we drive the cars we buy,” said Parveen Agarwal of Club GT, a sentiment echoed by the other members of the club.

Additional features on the Q7 Design Edition include new exhaust trims, 20-inch alloy wheels, dark tinted tail lights, and door puddle projection lamps with the four rings. It comes with a 3.0-litre diesel engine.

The Design Edition A6 comes with 19-inch alloys, a retrofitted smartphone interface, and a rear seat entertainment package. The engine is a 2-litre diesel. Both models come with Audi’s Matrix headlamps.

While the Q7 is priced at Rs 86.71 lakh, the A6 is at a little more modest Rs 58.79 lakh, (both prices are ex showroom in Calcutta).
