This sip sometimes tastes better in quiet. If that’s how you like your tea, head over to Novotel, in New Town. The Premier Lounge on the sixth floor of the star hotel is the perfect place to have a relaxed work meeting or spend some me-time while the world races on below.
The sip list has a wide variety of flavours, all from the Sri Lanka-based Dilmah tea company. Regular Brilliant Breakfast, Green Tea with Jasmine Flowers, Sencha Green Extra Special and Ceylon Young Hyson Green Tea are some of the loose leaf options to choose from, alongside a range of tea bags. There are oat and ragi cookies, and scones to give company.
If hot beverage isn’t what you fancy, try the tea-based cocktails and mocktails. “Tea is more prevalent in the eastern part of India. It is considered healthy as it has less caffeine than coffee. It is refreshing and comes in a huge variety of flavours. You can have more than one cup a day without harming yourself,” said Surajit Chatterjee, director, F&B, Novotel Kolkata.
