What was it that made you join the adult industry?
A girl from one of my college classes gave me the number of an agent and when he explained everything to me, it sounded good. I was offered to be Penthouse Pet of the Month, an offer I could not refuse.
Given your Indian background, was there resistance at home?
My parents raised me as in any other Indian household. I told them about my career when I won Penthouse Pet of the Year. It took them a bit to grasp what I was doing and then they started to realise that I am a businesswoman and I was very successful in my field.
How long have you been involved in the adult industry?
Almost 10 years.

There is this opinion that there can be no art to porn. What is your take on this?

Does your career get in the way of your relationships?
No, I don’t let it.
What kind of money would you make in a film?
I have made top dollars in each of my films and scenes. I am very happy with my lifestyle and the way I live.
Had you not been an adult film actress, what would you have been?
I have no idea.... I started in this industry so young…. When I was in school I was studying to be a nurse... maybe that’s what I would have done.

That’s a bold statement made by someone very closed-minded. I think anyone can do anything in life.
How attached are you to your Indian roots?
I love my culture and embrace it in every way I can.
How many other Indian actors / actresses do you know that are a part of the adult industry?
I have heard of one male actor and one other girl. I don’t know either one, except that I have met Priya (Rai) once.
Why do you think there are so few Indian men in the international adult industry?
You have to be very confident to be a male talent. It’s not easy.
“Doing porn involves just sex, no emotion but a switching off of all feelings....” Your reaction?
Each person is different in the way they see sex and having sex on film. That is a general statement that makes sense to most people. Me, personally I have to enjoy myself, I have to be emotionally attached to the person to find them attractive. I have only worked with four men and two were/are boyfriends and two were my friends.
How do you choose your co-actors? And who would you say is the best co-actor?
My company picks men and women based on their personality. The last thing you want on set is people not liking each other or people that are hard to work with. It’s a fun atmosphere and maintaining that throughout the day is ‘keep to good scenes and good acting’. The latest person that I love to work with is Alexis Texas. She is sweet and fun and very sexy.

Do you visit India often?
I went last year and it was amazing.
Ever think of coming to India to settle?
Umm... as nice as it is, I don’t think I can change the fact that I am raised as a Canadian/American. It’s a completely different life than there. It’s nice there but I think I would have issues with being so western.
In many Indian families there is still this belief that girls should save their virginity for their husbands. Your comment?
I would say that most Indian girls now are not virgins, especially in the US, Canada... Lol!
