WHY ANGELINA’S SHY OF BEOWULF DARE BARE
Actress Angelina Jolie was bashful after seeing herself in a simulated nude scene in the animated Beowulf. The Tomb Raider star — who plays a temptress killer lizard, painted gold and fitted with a tail — admits the motion capture technology was so shockingly real, she phoned Brad Pitt to warn him about the nudity in the family movie.
“I was really surprised that I felt that exposed. There are certain moments where I felt actually shy — and called home, just to explain that the fun movie that I had done, that was digital animation, was in fact a little different than we expected....
“I didn’t expect to come out as much. I didn’t expect it to feel as real, and so because of especially the type of character I play, it was kind of funny at first.”
ANGELINA’S GOLDEN GLOW
Angelina Jolie is set to wow fans with her body once again after it was revealed she will be stripping down to nothing in certain scenes for her new movie. The stunning actress is playing the mother of Grendel the evil monster in a movie adaptation of the classic tale of Beowulf, and in one scene appears in nothing but golden paint. In the trailer, Angelina can be seen emerging from a lake completely naked, but covered in a golden sheen. The movie does, however, utilise a new photo-realistic animation style, so Ange’s stunning curves may have got a little help.
Angelina, 32, has recently returned to acting after taking time out to be with her family following the birth of her baby with actor-lover Brad Pitt. However, with Beowulf out in the UK in November, Angelina has already begun filming a new action role and is keen to get back into the swing of things.
“It seemed like a good thing for me — and my family agreed — to have a reason to get strong and do something that was not serious,” says Ange.
ANGELINA STOPS KIDS FROM SEEING TOO MUCH OF HER IN BEOWULF
Angelina Jolie has banned her children from seeing her latest movie. The Oscar-winning beauty believes it would be inappropriate for Maddox, six, Pax, three, Zahara, two, and 17-month-old Shiloh to see their mother as a naked computer-animated temptress killer lizard in Beowulf.
Angelina said: “I think it’s too much. I don’t think they should see their mom that way. I don’t wear nightgowns like that in the house. I’ve got boys in my house. You don’t do that as a mom.”
The sexy star said she may consider letting them watch the film when they grow up. She added to People magazine: “When they’re older, hopefully they’ll see it. It’s weird, I’m a mom!”
