Shaheb-Mumtaz's passion play

Giggle & dumbbell: Mumtaz & Shaheb get passionate to expose the porn world

PORN PLAY: They rolled on the bed, got on top of one another, hugged, kissed and faked a big O. All in a day’s work for Shaheb Bhattacherjee and Mumtaz Sorcar as they shot for an intimate sequence in Ranadeep Sarkar’s debut film Not A Dirty Film at a north Calcutta residence, last week.

“With this film I want to break my sweet, chocolate boy image,” said Shaheb who plays Neel, a rich and flamboyant college guy. “Neel is trapped by Mumtaz’s Mona and gets involved in a sex scandal. Not A Dirty Film focuses on the porn industry in Bengal and how innocent lives get dragged into it. There’s a huge porn racket that runs through social media, phones and other medium. The script of the film is based on a lot of research,” said Shaheb.

While Shaheb was all geared up for the scene, Mumtaz was all nerves. “Even if this wasn’t the first time I was doing a making-out scene (she got intimate with Indraneil Sengupta in Nayika Sangbad) my hands were shaking and I was praying to all the Hindu gods!” laughed Mumtaz. “I can’t really divulge much about Mona, except that she is very fishy and shady. She traps men and ruins their lives.”

After a few NG (not good) shots, Shaheb and Mumtaz got going. “I am to be blamed for the NG shots. I kept giggling to make myself comfortable and Shaheb was doing his dumbbells before the shot!” Mumtaz laughed. “Well I had to sweat for the scene, so the dumbbell!” explained Shaheb.

“Shaheb’s herogiri went for a toss the moment we got into bed and started acting passionate! I tried to hide our mock kisses with my hair but Shaheb was bothered about where the camera angle was. It was good fun and slowly we got comfortable,” smiled Mumtaz. “I was just making sure that I smell good and didn’t have bad breath!” quipped Shaheb.

And how far can these two Tolly youngsters go when it comes to be being bold for the camera? “As far as the scene doesn’t look obscene or vulgar,” said Shaheb. “I have to be comfortable with my co-actor. In Not A Dirty Film, thank god I had Shaheb because we are buddies. For me the comfort level matters a lot,” said Mumtaz. “I don’t mind semi-nudity but I am not sure if the Bengali audience can take that. Instead of bringing them to the theatres I think nudity will keep them away,” mused Shaheb.

SHAHEB-MUMTAZ’S FAVE INTIMATE SCENES

Shaheb: The making-out scene of Michael Douglas-Sharon Stone in Basic
Instinct, the one where they were making love looking in the mirror. That’s a classic.
Mumtaz: The intimate moments between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in Mr and Mrs Smith.
