Sarah Romert and six sheroes FORMED THE FORWARD LINE at a Women Empowerment Conclave in Novotel
I began to play football as a three or four-year-old girl in the garden with all of my brothers and sisters. My whole family supported me a lot, especially my dad who followed me to all of my games and later on, all over the world when I was with the German national team. I was 16 when I had a chance to go to Munich and play for the FC Bayern women’s team. Going away from home at that age was a big step for me. For me, playing soccer is the best thing, especially when sports has the power to connect to more people. Being a part of a team and to achieve something together is great. I am lucky to have made my hobby into my job.
