R. Madhavan wraps shooting for G.D. Naidu biopic Adhirshtasaali

Helmed by Mithran R Jawahar, the upcoming movie also features Sharmila Mandre and Radhikaa Sarathkumar

R. Madhavan has completed shooting for his upcoming Tamil film Adhirshtasaali, a biopic on Indian inventor G.D. Naidu, remembered as the Edison of India, the actor announced via an Instagram post on Wednesday.

“Finally done . Last day of shoot of #Adhirshtasaali .. Challenging but super exciting and fun shoot . Can’t wait to show you all,” the 53-year-old actor wrote alongside a video with glimpses from the shoot.


Described as a romantic comedy, the Mithran R Jawahar-directed movie’s ensemble cast features Kannada actress Sharmila Mandre in the lead and Radhikaa Sarathkumar in a pivotal role .

Penned by Jeyamohan and produced by Mediaone Global Entertainment Limited, the upcoming film marks the first collaboration between Madhavan and Mithran, known for Thiruchitrambalam (2022), Yaaradi Nee Mohini (2008) and Kutty (2010).

Madhavan was last seen in the Shiv Rawail-directed web series The Railway Men, alongside Divyendu Sharma, Kay Kay Menon and Babil. The series is currently streaming on Netflix. His directorial debut, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, received the National Award for Best Feature Film.
