ROXY
Happy faces? Yes. Stylish peeps? Yes.
A packed dance floor? Double yes! Roxy had the best vibe on November 26 as Trap queen (picture right) DJ Teri Miko caused a riot with her beats and energy. Her high-energy set included hard-hitting trap beats that got the crowd pumped up and movin’. Wearing a fringe leather skirt, the powerhouse performer played tracks like Turn Down For What, Don’t Let Me Down and Trap Queen. “Roxy had superb energy and it was a great feeling to see the crowd responding to the music being played!” said the DJ.
BLACK
If Chrissy Teigen did the leg bomb in a safety-pin dress, closer home Preanca Dey at Black flashed a leg in a pinned maxi dress. “It was a typical Bollywood night... ideal to show off the thumkas,” said the model partying with friend Aishwarya (right) at the DJ Akbar Sami night at Black lounge in Aauris hotel.
“After a long time I got to dance to such varied Bolly tracks... from songs we have grown up listening to, to present-day numbers... the DJ had them all on his playlist,” said Kamalika Sarkar in a balloon skirt.
BOLLY BOSS
From the ’80s and ’90s to the now-gen — DJ Akbar Sami left no ‘table unturned’ as he played Bolly beats for all age groups at Black.
Cutiepie for Fawad Khan or current fave Nashe si chadh gayi — Ayanka Nandi seemed to be confused and spoilt for choice! “I love both the songs actually but I am a diehard Fawad Khan fan and I miss him whenever his songs are played. I wish to meet him one day!” said the PR professional.
Natalia was red hot in her wrap skirt and knotted crop top. “I love trap and hip-hop and I love Roxy for getting these artistes who ensure we dance till our legs give up! Teri Miko was on fire and loved how she killed it with her music,” said the Colombian.
LONDON PUB
London Pub hosted Bhavishyavani (Future Soundz) on November 26 — their first EDM night featuring artistes M.MAT and Spacejams that saw electronic music lovers flocking in groups to the Golden Parkk party stop.
Breaking the usual Bolly music scene on Saturday at London Pub, Mumbai-based Bhavishyavani (Future Soundz) crew members M.MAT (inset) and Spacejams kept the crowd raging with their electronica, deep house and techno music.
UG REINCARNATED
If you are not the type to jostle and elbow-rub for space on the floor, UG Reincarnated was the place to be. The HHI nightclub wore an easy and chill vibe as underground music lovers — like this happy group! —fist-pumped and moved to the music of Ankytrixx.
Annette Ling’s chosen colour was black and the college student slayed in her high-waist denims, turtle-neck top and those killer metallic heels! The pop of red on her puckers sealed the deal. #LessIsMore
“We love nights like these where the energy is high without being too crowded. The music is so good that you trip on it and be in your own zone,” said Lakshmi Prasad (left) with friend Dip Jyoti.
Ankit Kochar, better known as Ankytrixx, made it a surreal night at UG Reincarnated with his signature techno and deep house music.
