Hansal Mehta's crime drama Scoop, which currently sits at No 1 on the list of top 10 Netflix shows in India, has garnered positive reviews with its realistic representation of the world of Journalism. Based on former scribe Jigna Vora's book Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison, the six-episode drama stars Karishma Tanna, Mohd. Zeeshan Ayub, Prosenjit Sen and Harman Baweja in important roles. The plot revolves around the murder of journalist Jaideb Sen (Prasenjit Chatterjee) which lands leading crime reporter Jagruit Pathak (Karishma Tanna) in the crosshairs of police, media and the Mumbai underworld as she fights for justice.
Mohd. Zeeshan Ayub plays the role of Imran Siddiqui, the editor of a newspaper that Jagruti (Karishma) works for.
The six-episode drama series dropped on Netflix on June 2.
