Arindam Sil is all set to start the shoot of his next film Khela Jokhon from August. The thriller stars Mimi Chakraborty, Arjun Chakrabarty, Susmita Chatterjee, Harsh Chhaya, June, Barun Chanda, Alokananda Roy, Arna Mukhopadhyay, Joydip Kundu, Ashim Roychowdhury and Karan Hariharan. While Arijit Biswas of Andhadhun fame has written the script, Bickram Ghosh is composing the music. Khela Jokhon is a tribute to Quentin Tarantino. “The film follows a woman who wakes up from a nightmare... what she sees in her nightmare, what she faces in real life, and what she experiences, are completely different. They kind of contradict each other. And out of this contradiction she has to find who her real self is in order to save herself. And she understands that her life is in danger. She has to know who she is,” says Arindam Sil. “It is a dream character... and I feel I am at the right point in my life to do justice to it. It is a very challenging role and I am looking forward to the shoot. Arindamda creates a very comfortable atmosphere for the artistes to perform. I had worked with him in Dhananjoy, and I know that he believes in giving me a lot of freedom as an actor to explore various facets of the character,” says Mimi.

Arjun is elated to be working with Arindam Sil again after Byomkesh Gowtro and Satyameva Jayate. “Action thrillers are my favourite genre so this is a win-win situation the way I see it. Very glad to be collaborating with Mimi again after Crisscross. I hope our audience will be equally excited,” smiles Arjun.

“I am absolutely thrilled to get an opportunity to work in a thriller. I love thrillers and always wanted to do one. I’m fortunate to be working with the renowned actor-film-maker Arindam Sil. Coming to Mimidi, my first modelling assignment was with her, so I started my career with my very favourite Mimidi. She has supported me since my beginning days and it’s always been my wish to work with her in a film,” says Susmita.

Khela Jokhon is produced by Partho Protim Banerjee and Rajasree Banerjee of Rajprotim Art Ventures Private Limited.
