The lockdown has had the entire industry being home blind like the rest, so when it was lifted actor Diganth Manchale spared no effort to make up for lost time. Diganth has a bunch of films lined up amongst which the first look of his upcoming Marigold created a lot of buzz. Touted to be a thriller comedy, Diganth’s unique look in the poster went viral amongst netizens.

Directed by debutant Raghavendra M Nayak, the film is being produced by Raghuvardhan who had previously made Gunavantha. “Marigold is a name that generally conjures images of a biscuit amongst people. But in our film, “Mari” means to sell and “gold” means just that — gold. The story is about how Diganth gets a gold biscuit and how his life takes a major U-turn after that and how he managed to get out of all the hurdles,” explains the director. Raghavendra observes that the film has so much to offer in terms of content and will not be your average, regular love story. “Of course there will be romance but it will not be the mainstay of the film,” he says.

The film is now complete and director Raghavendra is pleased to share that the RR portions of the film are being worked on. Diganth meanwhile is extremely kicked about his avatar on the poster as it portrays him in a unique manner with some added funk.
