Manisha Koirala reviews PS-II after reunion with Mani Ratnam, reminisces about working with the filmmaker

The Bollywood actress worked with Mani Ratnam in Bombay (1995) and Dil Se (1998)

Bringing back memories of her Bombay days, Manisha Koirala shared images with filmmaker Mani Ratnam at the screening of Ponniyin Selvan 2 (PS2) at Mumbai’s Yash Raj Studios on Sunday night.

The actress posted photos with her Bombay director and his wife Suhasini on Instagram, reminiscing her wonderful experience with them. She also praised the second part of Ponniyin Selvan and lauded the entire crew for their hard work. “Such humble man #maniratnam sir is and such a great film maker !!! I remember working with him was intense but so fulfilling..we artists long to working with directors who push our limits and help us to excel..He always tries to do things differently! My first day of shooting for #bombay is so fresh in my mind..,” she wrote.

Manisha also talked about Suhasini’s influence on her performance during the Hamma Hamma song from Bombay. “It felt home meeting him and @suhasinihasan ji (who is accomplished actress herself, infact had helped me in #hamahama song ❤️🙏🏻💐)”, she wrote in the caption.

The Sanju actress also talked about PS2 and gave it a favourable review. She concluded, “For the preview of his latest film #ps2 !! His movies have mesmerised people across globe..each of his film is masterpiece!! From #anjalifilm to this ps2 his latest.. we just love his #films !! Once again..sir you are a treasure!! My love to the entire team .. all the actors who performed brilliantly all the technicians who has excelled in this film huge congratulations 👏👏👏,” he wrote alongside the photos.

As part of her post, Manisha also shared several images along with actress Aditi Rao Hydari and filmmaker Shaad Ali, who were also present at the screening. The second part of Mani Ratnam’s historical epic action-adventure film series Ponniyin Selvan, starring Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj and Aishwarya Lekshmi, has already grossed over Rs. 200 crore at the worldwide box office.

Manisha was directed by Mani Ratnam in Bombay (1995) and Dil Se (1998). She was last seen in Rohit Dhawan’s Shehzada alongside Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon. She will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix original period drama series Heeramandi.
