WHAT: The grand finale of Coke-e Food-e Pujor Mood-e, a series of adda sessions held ahead of Durga Puja in association with Anandabazar Patrika and The Telegraph. Six lucky winners chosen from a selfie contest on the Coke Adda Facebook page got to meet Tollywood stars Abir Chatterjee and Tonushree Chakraborty, as well as singer-composer Anupam Roy. The meet-and-greet session was followed by a scrumptious dinner.
WHEN: October 31, Saturday.
WHERE: Dum Pukht, ITC Sonar.
ON THE MENU: Lots... and lots... of pictures, selfies, groupfies and happy faces. While Abir was busy ribbing his fans, Tonushree was in nostalgia mode.
“Puja, to me, means Coke, adda and prem,” said Tonushree. She felt the Coke Adda campaign had managed to capture the Puja mood very well.
The stars were joined on stage by Debabrata Mukherjee, VP (marketing and commercial), Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia, and RJ Jimmy Tangree, head, 91.9 Friends FM.
BEHIND THE SCENES: Abir was in a mischievous mood. Looking at one of the winners, Priyanka Mukherjee, our new Feluda quipped, “She has decided she will only take photos and not even open her mouth!” making the 26-year-old blush.
But the Tolly heart-throb wasn’t done. He promptly turned to Priyanka’s mother-in-law, who had accompanied her, and asked, “Is she this quiet at home as well?” Everyone went ROFL!
SIPS & BITES: Veg and non-veg finger food accompanied the meet-and-greet session, while dinner was a four-course spread, with appetisers like Mukund Kebab and Jhinga Dum Nisha and mains like Murgh Rezala, Subz Miloni and two kinds of biryani. Shahi Tukda and a kulfi called Lab-e-Mashooq ended things on a sweet note, while sips of Coke complemented every yummy bite.

“I posted a selfie on the Coke Adda Facebook page after seeing an ad in Anandabazar Patrika, because of my childhood habit of being extremely competitive,” grinned Subhasish Banerjee after snapping a starry selfie with Tonushree.
“Meeting the stars was a beautiful experience. For me, Abir is synonymous with Byomkesh. I loved Tonushree’s acing in Khaad. And Anupam’s Amake aamar moto thakte dao is practically a Bengali anthem. I was star-struck, sitting beside them! Puja is a traditional affair and Coke has done a great job of imbibing these values and conveying them to the new generation with a modern twist through Coke Adda,” the 29-year-old banker said.
