Kriti Kharbanda’s chooda and kalire ceremony pictures out; see here

Actress Kriti Kharbanda, who tied the knot with actor Pulkit Samrat on March 15, has dropped fresh pictures from her chooda and kalire ceremony in Gurugram. Here’s a look at some moments from the event, which preceded their pastel-themed wedding ceremony in Manesar, Haryana.

The 14 Phere actress donned a red embellished dupatta from her mother’s bridal trousseau on the occasion. Kriti also wore a stone-studded necklace that originally belonged to her grandmother. In her caption, the actress explained how this had been her childhood dream even before she had a boyfriend.

“It was a magical morning. Riding high on emotions and my heart pounding coz Pulkit and I weren’t allowed to meet or see each other before the pheras,” wrote Kriti alongside a picture, which shows her posing for the lens with friends and family at the event.

The 33-year-old looked gorgeous in a yellow sari, paired with a matching off-shoulder blouse. She opted for nude makeup, while bridal mehendi adorned her arms. “I wish he [Pulkit] was a part of this moment too, but sigh, I loved the look on his face the first time he saw these pictures and was bowled over,” Kriti captioned her post on Instagram.

Laal chooda and traditional kaleeras were indispensable for Kriti, who said she was glad that she stuck to her initial choice till the end.

Sharing a picture of her bridal kaleeras, the Taish actress wrote, “While we did things our way, a few things were still old school.”

Kriti, who made her acting debut with the Telugu film Boni (2009), had a blast with her friends at the event. The actress is currently working on Abir Sengupta's Risky Romeo. Kriti began dating Pulkit in 2019 and has shared screen space with him in various films including Veerey Ki Wedding (2018) and Pagalpanti (2019).
