Actors Ishaan Khatter Ananya Panday are starring together in the rom-com Khaali Peeli.

While Ishaan debuted with Dhadak last year, Ananya made a splash with Student of The Year 2. Now the youngsters will romance each other in Maqbool Khan’s Khaali Peeli, slated to release on June 12, 2020.

Ali Abbas Zafar, who directed blockbusters like Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai among others, has joined hands with Zee Studios to co-produce the film.

Set in Mumbai, Khaali Peeli is a young, edgy roller-coaster ride that starts one night when a boy meets a girl. Vishal-Shekhar has been roped in to compose for the film.

The makers shared the first look of the film — Ishaan and Ananya posing in front of a kaali-peeli taxi — by the young leads and Katrina Kaif as well. Katrina shared the picture on Instagram on Wednesday, congratulating “buddy” Zafar: “Here’s to new beginnings.”

The film will go on floors on September 11.
