Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment is teaming up with Oscar-winning producer Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment to produce a procedural drama, Gyaarah Gyaaraah, for ZEE5.

On Monday, ZEE5 posted a 38-second-long teaser of the upcoming series on Twitter. “The past is a memory, the future is a dream and the present - a trap. Unravel this timeless mystery in #GyaarahGyaarah - A ZEE5 Original, Coming Soon,” the tweet reads.

Spanning three timelines — 1990, 2001 and 2016 — the video begins with an aerial shot of a fair and immediately cuts across to an old man working on what looks like a watch. The teaser then shows a young boy aiming a hoop at the fair. The scene then shifts to a textile mill in the blink of an eye, showcasing multiple characters standing in front of the building at different points in time. “The past is a memory, the future is a dream and the present - a trap,” the video says as police officers appear on the screen.

Helmed by Pagglait director Umesh Bisht and co-written by Puja Banerji and Sunjoy Shekhar, Gyaarah Gyaaraah is a Hindi adaptation of the popular Korean drama Signal. While the original series starred Kim Hye Soo, Lee Je Hoon and Cho Jin Woong, the Hindi version will feature Kritika Kamra, Raghav Juyal and Dhairya Karwa in key roles.
