Abhishek Bachchan’s chronically ill character, Arjun, seeks to make amends as he faces the final chapter of his life in the trailer of Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming film I Want to Talk.

Dropped by Rising Sun Films on Tuesday, the two-minute-28-second-long trailer opens with Arjun practising pronunciation exercises after a neck surgery. Ahilya Bamroo plays his supportive daughter, helping him through his struggles.

Despite being a lively man who cherishes conversation, Arjun is forced to undergo multiple surgeries in the neck region, leaving him desperate to recover his vitality. He frequently visits his doctor, determined to survive and return to his love of talking. However, the trailer hints that his time may be limited.

Even amidst the serious theme, moments of humour add warmth: Ahilya anticipates her grandparents' reactions to her boyfriend, while Jayant Kripalani, playing Arjun's physician, jokes about changing his locks if Arjun continues with his persistent visits.

The trailer also features Johnny Lever, Pearle Dey, and Kristin Goddard.

I Want to Talk is slated to release theatrically on November 22. While Avik Mukhopadhyay has served as the cinematographer, Taba Chake is in charge of the film's soundtrack.

While Shoojit Sircar’s last directorial was the multiple National Award-winning movie Sardar Udham (2021), starring Vicky Kaushal in the title role of the Indian revolutionary, Abhishek has Sujoy Ghosh’s King, Remo D’Souza’s Be Happy and Tarun Mansukhani’s Housefull 5 in the pipeline.
