She’s done pretty much everything but what has been Katrina Kaif’s biggest hichki? The leggy beauty, one of the best dancers in Bollywood, says it’s dancing!

Kat has set the screen on fire with her moves in Kamli (Dhoom 3), Chikni Chameli (Agneepath) or Sheila Ki Jawani in Tees Maar Khan, so much so that she comes across as a born dancer.

The makers of Rani Mukerji’s Hichki, which releases today, had asked prominent personalities to share their untold weaknesses and how they eventually converted them into massive strengths. Katrina let us in on her story of how she overcame her biggest hichki.

“For me, my biggest hichki in the beginning of my career was dancing,” said Katrina. “While shooting for a film with superstar Venkatesh in Telugu, Raju Sundaram was choreographing me. He looked quite irritated with my dancing but didn’t say anything. Later, one day on the set of Wanted, I overheard him telling Salman Khan, that as a dancer Katrina Kaif is zero. I was shocked.”

Kat says she was determined to handle her hichki and not let it come in the way of achieving her dreams of stardom. “After my first Telugu film, I trained with kathak Guru Veeru Krishnan from 7am to 1pm almost every day. Choreographers Bosco-Ceaser gave me confidence to give my best in Race. I think this is what a good teacher does —gives a person confidence that he/she can do it. That’s how I overcame my challenge of being a ‘zero’ dancer,” she said.
The bubbly actress has several big films lined up for release this year, including Zero with Shah Rukh Khan and Thugs of Hindostan with Aamir Khan.
