Just three episodes and we are already falling for Jess! Cute and crazy, she’s the girl-next-door on STAR World’s New Girl. Here’s why we love this cool chick...
1. Jessica Day is the ‘listener’ type of girlfriend, yet hot enough to make her boyfriend’s wild fantasies come true. He wanted to see her naked under a trench coat. She came in singing and prancing, wearing nothing but a gift bow. So what if he was dumped a minute later. (She caught him with Rochelle, “fancy mermaid-like name”.)
2. Her approach to heart-break? “Can’t pretend it didn’t happen”. So get it out of your system with the how-I-broke-up story at every opportunity. Doesn’t matter if the question asked at the roommate interview was “Do you have any pets?” Add to that a long weep-fest, which includes a non-stop film fest. Think Dirty Dancing six to seven times.
3. If most girls go for rebound love, Jess needs “rebound sex”. With the first guy she meets post-break-up. Atta girl! (She’s also scared to start all over again, which only makes us love her more.)
4. She plays the emo(tional) card damn well. Feminine: Yes. Feminist: No! She even draws a smiley at the pawnshop to bag a deal on the TV. And no, it didn’t work!
5. She breaks into song at the drop of a hat. While most of us sing that song in our head or under the shower, Jess sings it out loud. And clear.
6. She drinks pink wine. She probably drinks a whole lot of other things, but she also drinks pink wine. And we like that. Just like that.
7. She eavesdrops. We all do. It’s cool.
8. Waiting for her new date at the restaurant, she asks for more “free bread”. Because the “good bread” is over and only “health bread” is left in the basket. A girl has to ask for the good kinda free bread!
9. She can’t play ball. She broke the TV in the new apartment when she tried.

Meet Douche Bag Jar. He’s definitely a character to watch out for. Every time anyone does something “douche-y”, a dollar goes in! With Schmidt in the house, chances are the DBJ will be the richest dude on TV!
