What’s the buzz?

German model Claudia Ciesla is the new woman in Salman Khan’s life. The Bolly buzz goes that Salman found her such an eyeful that he sent a car to pick up Claudia from JW Marriott, where she was staying during a dubbing stint that had brought her to Mumbai a few weeks ago.

How did that happen?

The hotbod ran into Salman at a party in Mumbai. “Yes, I met Salman at a party when I had gone to Mumbai to dub for my film Karma: Crime, Passion and Reincarnation. I also met him in his house. Salman is a good friend and a wonderful guy! There have been talks about a film with him but I can’t reveal much at this stage. I have promised Salman that I won’t talk about it to anyone,” Claudia told t2 over phone from Bamberg, Germany. “Now I am going to attend the Cannes film festival!” she added.

Who’s she?

A model-turned-actress who shot to fame after posing topless for the German magazine Matador. When readers claimed her assets were fake, Claudia had got a surgeon to examine her and declare that her breasts hadn’t been enhanced by surgery. “It’s big news in Germany. People still talk about it,” she had said.

Claudia’s dream:

To make a career in Bollywood. “Everyone looks up to Bollywood in Germany. Shah Rukh Khan is a big star there. I would love to shift base to Bollywood,” Claudia had told t2 last year.

Her Bolly connection:

Claudia has done a cameo in M.R. Shahjahan’s Karma: Crime, Passion and Reincarnation, which was screened at Osian’s Cinefan in 2008. She has also bagged a Punjabi film, Ki Jana Pardes, which is on the floors.

Her Tolly connection:

In the 2008 comedy film 10:10, Claudia played a German journalist, Serene, and shared screen space with Soumitra Chatterjee.

What Claudia was like during her Calcutta stay:

“It was wonderful working with Claudia. Contrary to what we had thought, she was very down to earth. She would interact with all her co-stars and even enjoyed a dal-bhaat meal one day. There’s one incident that I will never forget. When she met Soumitrada (Chatterjee) for the first time on the sets, Claudia had touched his feet for blessings!” said 10:10 director Arin.

Claudia as Salman’s girl:

“You never know, it could be true! Claudia is young and attractive. She has a great body, face and presence. Anyone can fall for her. And with Salman, anything is possible! She had called me up from Mumbai a couple of weeks back to say that she had met Salman Khan at a nightclub. She was very excited!” added Arin.

Is Claudia meant for big things?

“Of course! We knew Claudia would climb the ladder of success very soon. I had spotted her in Karma, which was screened at Cannes last year. Claudia has some great qualities. She is hard-working, has no tantrums and can adjust anywhere. She is very focused too. We’ve cast her again in our next Hindi film Shout, to be directed by Wilson Louis. We have plans to launch her as the lead heroine in one of our films,” said 10:10 producer Ajay Jhunjhunwala.
