Anne Hathaway is in negotiations to star in The Last Thing He Wanted, a big-screen adaptation of Joan Didion’s 1996 political thriller. Mudbound director Dee Rees has been roped in to helm the project, reported Entertainment Weekly. If things are finalised, Anne would play Elena McMahon, a hardscrabble journalist who gets embroiled in the dangerous world of arms dealing.

Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle’s name is at the top of a list of names being considered for to helm the next James Bond movie. Boyle, 61, is a favourite of Eon Productions and MGM Studios for the next instalment in the spy series, reported Variety. The studio earlier hoped to collaborate with the Oscar-winning director on Skyfall and Spectre, which were eventually helmed by Sam Mendes. Boyle has always shown a keen interest in directing a Bond film as well.
