Citylights actress Patralekhaa has said her Nanu Ki Jaanu co-star Abhay Deol is a thorough gentleman. She will soon be seen in the Faraz Haider film and said it was fun working with the director and actor. About Abhay, she said: “Abhay is a thorough gentleman, it has been an absolute pleasure to work with him… Faraz had a lot of clarity on what he exactly wanted and we didn’t have to take too many retakes because of this clear vision.”

Actor Ryan Reynolds has joined the cast of the new Pokemon film, Detective Pikachu. The Deadpool star will voice the monster detective. Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton have already signed on for the live-action film, according to Variety. The story is about a teenager who teams up with Pikachu to find his kidnapped father.

 

Angelina Jolie entered show business out of necessity. The actress is the daughter of Marcheline Bertrand and Jon Voight, both Hollywood stars in their own right, but Jolie admitted that she was not comfortable in front of the camera. “I think, when I started acting, it was a good means to an end,” Jolie told The Hollywood Reporter. “It was a job, and I wanted to help my mom with bills. It was a creative job, something where you get to explore different times in history, different people, different sides of yourself, learn different skills,” the Mr and Mrs Smith star said.

 

Remo D’Souza, who has replaced Abbas-Mustan to direct the third instalment of Race, hopes to do justice to the popular franchise. “Abbas-Mustan are super good directors and I have always looked up to their films. They are the master of the thriller space. I am not exactly getting into their shoes as Race 3 is little different from the earlier ones but I am happy I got to direct it and I hope I make them proud,” Remo told PTI. 

Aawara Bhawre singer Hemaa Sardesai may have faded out of the race in Bollywood playback singing but she has surpassed many as she goes international. Hemaa has found her way to a collaboration with Grammy-winner Tony Mercedes, who has worked with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Usher Raymond, Pink, Ceelo Green and others. After the two struck a chord together, Mercedes has agreed to produce Hemaa’s song, and an Amercian album with Indian singers. The album is called Stronger and Stronger. Hemaa’s track — Power of Love — will release in Manhattan on Monday.

The actress, star of Quantico, has piled up more than 250,000 emails. Alan Powell, the actress’s co-star, posted on Instagram a photo of Priyanka’s 2,57,623 unread emails on the phone. He captioned it: “Guys ... guys ... don’t ever email @priyankachopra ... she apparently NEVER reads it! This is is the record ...
