
Actress Linda Cardellini has joined the cast of Green Book. The period drama, to be directed by Peter Farrelly, also features Oscar winner Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen, reported Variety. The film follows an Italian-American bouncer Tony Lip (Mortensen), who, in 1962, was hired to drive Dr Don Shirley (Ali), a world famous jazz pianist, on a concert tour from New York City through the pre-civil rights era Deep South. Since Shirley was African-American, the men relied on the Negro Motorist Green Book to guide them to the few motels, restaurants, and gas stations that they were welcomed in below the Mason-Dixon Line.

Actor Jason Momoa has said the finale of popular fantasy show Game of Thrones will be “the greatest thing” ever shown on television. The Justice League star, who played Khal Drogo during season one and two, also put to rest the rumours about his return on the show. “Just knowing how amazing this season is going to be... It’s going to be the greatest thing that’s ever aired on TV. It’s going to be unbelievable,” Momoa told Entertainment Weekly. “I just showed up (in Belfast) to see (producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss) and I just happened to see people on set,” Momoa said.

Director Shree Narayan Singh is set to make a women-centric film, Jasmine. The director, who helmed the Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha this year, will collaborate with KriArj Entertainment for the social issue-based story about a “leased womb”.
