Fans will get to see more of Captain America and Black Widow in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War sequel, say scriptwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Speaking to The New York Times, the duo revealed the two characters — played by Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson — will “have a much bigger role to play in that second film”, after mainly being seen defending earth in the first one. “We gave ourselves licence to pay off later,” McFeely added. The comments on the future of the series come after it was suggested that Marvel Studios could launch a new Avengers franchise. Avengers 4, which is scheduled to be released next year, is touted to be the final chapter for the ensemble cast of superhero favourites.

Austin Powers star Mike Myers says he is elated to come back to films after a five-year-long gap and feels it is the “happiest time” of his life. The actor, who turned 55 recently, said he has finally struck a fine work-life balance. “It’s all weird. I grew up in government assisted housing in Toronto, so all of this is bizarre and fun. This is the happiest time of my life. I have a lot of stuff coming and I think I may have found the right balance now and I’m super thrilled,” Myers told People magazine. The actor, whose last big-screen outing was a brief appearance in Inglourious Basterds (2009), said he utilised the time away from the limelight to be with his children — Spike, 6, Sunday, 4, and Paulina, 2. Myers will next be seen in Terminal and the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.
